Yea! I'm so glad you guys have started a blog! I'm just now finding it, so I've got some catching up to do. Your children are so beautiful. I know you both are excited about #3. What fun. Welcome to the blogging world. I'm adding you to our page so I can keep up.
Priscilla, thanks for the comment on my last post... as far as the advice for epidural/non-epidural... Like I said, the ONLY reason I don't get them is because of the AWFUL reaction I had with Lucy. Otherwise, I would ask for one NOW and keep it in for the next five months! Ha! I do have very quick labors, so the intensity is shortlived. There are always a few minutes when I'm making peace with God for taking me away from my kids at such young ages, but then Bert helps me snap out of it and realize that it's now time to push. I seriously always tell him that I think I'm dying... FOR REAL... then suddenly I get that urge to push the little sucker out and then I feel GREAT. Instantly. Just like that. Endorphins (sp?) take over your body and it's a total rush. Why do you think I've had so many? Haha! Totally kidding on that, but you do feel better immediately, where as with an epidural, as it wears off, side effects kick in, etc. I just can't go there because I HATE to vomit. Violently at that. Hate it. This last time with Hank, I actually ordered one when I was at 5 1/2 cms cause I just couldn't take the pain any more. The nurse checked me to make sure "the window" had not closed and she said, "Ummm, you're now at 10." In less than one hour I went from 5-10, so I really can't complain. Super fast deliveries. Hopefully #5 will be too!
Okay, now that I've written a journal that will take you three days to read... maybe I should have just asked for your e-mail address! Sooo sorry you had to read all of that, Jordan.
Tell both your families that I said hello. Take care! Love, Holly
